Tits ahoy!

Today was super exciting for The Uniboober as I cast away the main sails and took my specialised swimming breast form (prosthesis) on its maiden voyage at the local pool.

This here is the Trulife 630 Active Flow, a prosthetic breast made from fast-dry mesh fabric and filled with monoprene beads that do not absorb water.

The prosthesis fits snugly into the pocket of the shelf within the swimwear so that it doesn’t move or pop out while swimming.

Since the swimming breast is filled with beads, it moves quite naturally within the water. Out of the water, it matches the drop/sag of my other breast which was important to me. Never did I think that I'd be selecting a prosthetic breast based on its ability to match the sag of my other E cup.

It felt wonderful to be moving my body today even though I took it slow and mostly doggy paddled in the 25m heated pool.

The wonderfully professional and supportive (no pun intended) team at Tracey G Prosthetics and Lingerie (Tracey, Chris and Mel) helped me to select my swimwear and swimming breast form. Tracey G stocks a range of mastectomy lingerie, swimwear, sportswear, headwear, clothing and accessories and they also offer a free home or hospital service for prosthesis fittings.

Aside from my surgeon, hospital staff and my husband, Tracey was the first person to see my upper body after surgery. She visited me in hospital to fit me for an interim post-surgery breast form and she was very understanding when I told her I didn’t want to look at my upper body unclothed…just yet.
I have since purchased my other bras and mastectomy clothing from Tracey G and her team has been wonderful in helping kit me out in garments befitting my new Uniboober lifestyle.

The Tracey G store is dedicated to ladies affected by breast cancer but they also specialise in large cup bras (up to JJ) and maternity lingerie. (The Uniboober has not received payment for promotion or endorsement of Tracey G; I am merely sharing this information for the benefit of other women affected by mastectomy and cancer)
